BMCU 25th at MSC Lynn Jordan Memorial bowling meet

(Results) Blue Mountain Christian Men’s Bowling finished 25th Saturday at the MSC Lynne Jordan Memorial to kick off its 2023 spring season.

The Alley Toppers bowled an overall 5,710 in the 5-game Baker event, with Pikeville University winning the event with an 8,003 total.  There were a total of 25 teams in the tournament.

A total of 215 bowlers competed, as Peter Moore (SR/Booneville, Miss.) would lead Blue Mountain in 77th place with an 877 total and 175.4 average.

77 – Peter Moore – 877 Total, 175.4 Average

100 – Greyson Blair (SO/Mantachie, Miss.) – 781 Total, 156.2 Average

107 – Mason Timmons (SO/Saltillo, Miss.) – 761 Total, 152.2 Average

112 – Logan Akins (SO/Baldwyn, Miss.) – 736 Total, 147.2 Average

170 – Charles Hefner (FR/Myrtle, Miss.) – 469 Total, 156.3 Average (3 Games)

196 – Blake Holley (FR/Olive Branch, Miss.) – 267 Total, 133.5 Average (2 Games)

“It wasn’t the day we were looking for,” BMCU interim head coach Bradley Palmer said.  “The competition here was the best of the best.  We will have some takeaways from today and build for the tournament tomorrow and the future.  This is definitely a transition year, and we continue to build and improve as a team.”

BMCU will next compete this Sunday at the Thomas Burris Memorial in Louisville, Ky.
