Lady Chargers pick up split at Charger Challenge to move to 5-3

The Oxford Lady Chargers picked up a split as the host of the Oxford Charger Challenge over Thanksgiving break, falling to Pillow Academy and picking up a big win over Houston.

Oxford fell 47-41 to Pillow Academy, out of Greenwood. Freshman Audria Houston led with 15 points while Sophmore Addison Howell added 10.

Against Houston, the Lady Chargers raced out to an early advantage and never looked back, coming away with a 56-33 victory.

Oxford used a 15-2 run in the 2nd quarter to build a 33-16 halftime advantage and continued their scoring onslaught from there.

Addison Howell led with 15 points. Caliya Toles added 11.

The Lady Chargers are now 5-3 on the season. They are back in action next against Center Hill.
