Zachary’s ‘Owl of the Week’: Hannah Owens of Women’s Cross Country

Hannah Owens, a senior with Zachary’s women’s cross country team, has been named the school’s first Owl of the Week for the 2026-27 season, according to school officials.

Owens finished 14th out of 38 runners at the Freed-Hardeman Freed Speed 5K, posting a time of 22 minutes, 10.3 seconds. This marks her 19th consecutive meet as the Owls’ top finisher, dating back over three seasons.

Owens, who stands 4 feet 11 inches tall, has been a consistent performer for the team throughout her career. Her performance at the event continues her streak of leading her team in races this season.

School officials praised Owens for her dedication and consistency, which have helped lead the Owls through their early season schedule.
