Three Ole Miss Alumni Win Super Bowls with Seattle

Three former Ole Miss football players became Super Bowl champions Sunday night as members of the Seattle Seahawks. Linebackers Chris “Pooh” Paul Jr. and Jared Ivey, both rookies, joined the team a year after helping the Rebels’ defense rank No. 1 in the nation. Safety A.J. Finley, who joined Seattle in November 2024, also earned a Super Bowl ring.

Ole Miss now has 18 alumni who have won Super Bowls, with a total of 22 wins among those players. Notable Rebels with Super Bowl titles include Brandon Bolden, A.J. Brown, Jim Dunaway, and Eli Manning, among others, according to team and league records.

Finley played at Ole Miss from 2019 to 2022, finishing with 245 career tackles, eight interceptions, and four fumble recoveries. In 2021, he recorded 91 tackles, seven passes defended, and three interceptions, one returned for a touchdown. After going undrafted in 2023, Finley signed with the Los Angeles Chargers before being claimed by Seattle last November.

Paul transferred from Arkansas to Ole Miss prior to the 2024 season. He led the Rebels with 88 tackles, including 50 solo stops, and added 11 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks during his lone season in Oxford. Paul was named a first-team All-American by USA Today and received multiple All-SEC honors. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft and joined Seattle after being waived in late August.

Ivey transferred from Georgia Tech to Ole Miss before the 2022 season. The defensive end earned All-SEC honors in 2023 after a standout Peach Bowl performance. In 2024, he totaled 42 tackles, 10.5 for loss, and seven sacks. Ivey signed with Seattle as an undrafted free agent in April 2025.

Ole Miss has a storied history of producing NFL talent, and these recent Super Bowl wins add to that legacy, according to team and league sources.
