SWAC Football Media Day Set for July 15 in Birmingham

The Southwestern Athletic Conference will host its annual SWAC Football Media Day on Wednesday, July 15, starting at 10 a.m. Central Time at the Sheraton Birmingham in Alabama. The event will feature all 12 SWAC head football coaches and two student-athletes from each member institution, according to the conference.

Mississippi Valley State University will be represented by head coach Terrell Buckley, quarterback Josh Brown, and defensive back Jamari Stokes. Brown will speak about the Delta Devils’ offense, while Stokes will discuss the defensive unit as the team prepares for the upcoming season.

Mississippi Valley State’s scheduled media appearances are from 10:32 to 10:42 a.m. on the main stage, 10:50 to 11:05 a.m. on HBCUGO, and 1:05 to 1:15 p.m. at the SWAC TV Desk. All times are in Central Time.

The conference will also unveil its predicted order of finish for the 2026 season during the event. SWAC Football Media Day serves as the official kickoff to the league’s football season and provides an opportunity for media members to hear directly from coaches and players.
