Southwest Mississippi Football Signs 13 for 2026 Class and 11 Mid-Terms
Southwest Mississippi Football has announced its 2026 signing class, welcoming 13 new players on National Signing Day. In addition, the program announced 11 mid-term signees, all set to join the team ahead of the upcoming season.
The 2026 signees include Zadrien Cooper from Jena High School, Thomas McKnight of Vicksburg High School, and Ronde Baker from Terry High School. Other new players are O’Rhyon Burnice of Cleveland Central High School, Miles Bass from Clinton High School, and Malakai Knight of D’Iberville High School.
The class also features Kavion Newson from Columbia High School, Jacolby Bailey of Ocean Springs High School, Ian Newton from Harrison Central High School, and Henry Funches of Mendenhall High School. Additional signees include Arterious Dixon from Harrison Central, Antwon Thomas of Cleveland Central, and Jace Jackson from McComb High School.
The mid-term signees include transfers and players from various schools, such as Bernard Lackey Jr. from Newton County High, who will join after transferring from East Carolina University. Others include Kaiden Street from Pascagoula High School, Connor White of Ocean Springs High School, and Patrick Banks Jr. from Natchez High School.
Additional mid-term signees are Demarcus Johnson of Vicksburg High School, Kemon Folse from Thibodaux High School, and Braxton Barney of Madison Central High School. The list also features Antonio Ross from Hatfield Academy, Deshawn Feazell of Moss Point, Jahkari Williams from First Presbyterian, and Alex Wallace of University School of Jackson.
Southwest Mississippi expressed enthusiasm about welcoming the new signees and looks forward to the 2026 season, hoping they will contribute to the team’s success.
