SEC Releases 2026-27 Men’s Basketball Schedule with Mississippi State Opponents
The Southeastern Conference announced its men’s basketball schedule for the 2026-27 season Thursday, revealing Mississippi State’s opponents and home-and-away matchups. The league season begins on Jan. 2 and concludes on March 6, with each team scheduled to play every other team at least once.
Mississippi State will face Alabama and Ole Miss in home-and-home series for the 12th consecutive season. The Bulldogs also will play South Carolina twice, marking the 11th such occurrence since the 2015-16 season. Six of State’s nine conference home opponents participated in the NCAA Tournament last season, including Alabama and Texas, which reached the Sweet 16.
The Bulldogs will host Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Missouri, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Texas A&M at Humphrey Coliseum. On the road, Mississippi State will travel to Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt. The schedule’s game dates, times, and television information will be announced later, according to the SEC.
Chris Jans is entering his fifth season as head coach of Mississippi State. He is the only coach in program history to lead the Bulldogs to the NCAA Tournament three times in his first four seasons. The team is currently accepting season ticket renewals for the upcoming season via their official website. Fans can also follow the program on social media under the handle ‘HailStateMBK.’
