Ole Miss’s Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan on The Bowerman Watch List for 2026

New Orleans — Ole Miss senior Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan is among the athletes on the April update of The Bowerman watch list for 2026, the NCAA’s top track and field award, the university announced Thursday.

The Bowerman, established in 2009 and named after Oregon coach Bill Bowerman, is awarded annually to the most outstanding male and female NCAA track and field athletes. Robinson-O’Hagan is the only thrower featured on the April list and one of four athletes from the Southeastern Conference.

This marks his 13th straight appearance on the watch list since preseason for the 2025 season. He previously gained semifinalist recognition after his standout sophomore year in 2024. Robinson-O’Hagan leads the nation in the shot put with a season-best throw of 20.86 meters (68 feet, 5.¼ inches) from the Virginia Challenge two weeks ago. His outdoor season PR of 21.18 meters (69-6) ranks ninth worldwide for 2026.

His hammer throw of 77.62 meters (254-8), set at the Ole Miss Classic on March 20, ranks third in NCAA and 14th globally this season. The mark broke his school record and is the best early-season collegiate performance ever. It also moved him to second all-time among American collegiate hammer throwers behind Oregon’s Ken Flax, though it’s now behind the American record holder, Texas’ Tanner, with 78.87 meters (258-9).

Robinson-O’Hagan, a four-time NCAA champion, has accumulated numerous accolades, including seven First-Team All-America awards and 50 NCAA indoor points. His three consecutive indoor shot put titles and multiple SEC championships make him one of the most decorated athletes in collegiate track and field history.
