Ole Miss Women’s Golf Ties for 10th After Day One at Moon Golf Invitational
The University of Mississippi women’s golf team is in 10th place after the first round of the Moon Golf Invitational at Suntree Country Club in Melbourne, Florida. The Rebels posted a score of 300, which is 12 over par, in challenging scoring conditions, according to Ole Miss sources.
Texas A&M leads the tournament after posting the only under-par round among the teams. Only eight players finished the day with scores under par.
Nicole Gal led Ole Miss with a 73, one over par. She started strong, making birdies on her first two holes and shooting 35 on her first nine. Gal was two under through 14 holes but finished the round with a few struggles down the stretch.
Matilda Björkman finished with a 75, three over par, and recorded two birdies during the round. Mary Miller and Kajsolotta Svarvar each shot 76, four over par, while Sophie Linder ended the day at six over par.
