Ole Miss Women’s Basketball Adds Rachael Okokoh to 2026-27 Roster

Ole Miss women’s basketball head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin announced the signing of Rachael Okokoh from Penn State on Saturday, completing the team’s frontcourt roster for the 2026-27 season. The 6-foot-4 forward is expected to make an immediate impact, according to McPhee-McCuin.

Last season, Okokoh appeared in 25 games for the Nittany Lions, averaging 1.1 points on a 45% shooting percentage and 1.6 rebounds per game. The Montreal native, who is just a sophomore, has represented Canada internationally, competing in the 2024 U17 World Cup and the 2023 16U AmeriCup. She has also been a consistent member of Team Ontario in Canadian provincial tournaments, earning All-Tournament honors and selection to the All-Canadian Biosteel team.

Ole Miss has a history of developing transfer post players, including Christeen Iwuala and Rita Igbokwe. The addition of Okokoh, along with transfers Maya Anderson, Talaysia Cooper, Knisha Godfrey, and Emily Howard, gives the Rebels a total of eight players for the upcoming season, with more additions expected. Returning players include Desrae Kyles, Lauren Jacobs, and Sira Thienou.

The Rebels have made the NCAA tournament five consecutive years and continue to build on that success. Fans are encouraged to purchase season tickets now for the 2026-27 season.
