Ole Miss Soccer Names Domenic Martelli as General Manager of Operations
The University of Mississippi has appointed Domenic Martelli as the new General Manager of Operations for its soccer program, head coach Todd Shulenberger announced Wednesday.
Martelli brings more than two decades of coaching experience, including 11 seasons at Pinecrest Academy in Georgia, where he led both the girls’ and boys’ programs to multiple state titles. He compiled a 135-51-3 record with the girls and a 107-66-7 record with the boys.
He was named the NSCAA Georgia High School Coach of the Year in 2019 and the GAPPS Coach of the Year in 2025. Martelli also served as head coach and recruiting director for Atlanta Fire ECNL from 2015 to 2026 and was the founding head coach at Georgia Gwinnett College from 2012 to 2015, where he built the program into a nationally recognized NAIA contender.
Martelli’s coaching career includes a stint at Georgia State University from 2000 to 2012, where he became the school’s winningest coach with 110 wins. His teams made four Atlantic Sun tournament appearances and one Colonial Athletic Association tournament. He coached several award-winning players, including two CAA Rookies of the Year.
He previously served as an assistant coach at Army West Point from 1993 to 2000, helping lead the team to the 1993 Patriot League championship. Martelli holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ohio State and a master’s degree in elementary education from Mount Saint Mary College. He is USSF B licensed and has an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.
Martelli and his wife, Kirsten, have two children, Brielle and Nicolas. Nicolas is an Ole Miss graduate. The university said Martelli’s experience will help bolster the soccer program’s growth and success.
