Ole Miss Pitcher Hudson Calhoun Drafted by Texas Rangers in Fourth Round of 2026 MLB Draft

PHILADELPHIA — Ole Miss pitcher Hudson Calhoun was selected by the Texas Rangers in the fourth round of the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft, the first day of the draft concluded Thursday. Calhoun was the 117th overall pick.

He joins Cade Townsend and Taylor Rabe as Rebels selected on the first day of the draft. Calhoun becomes the fourth Ole Miss pitcher over the past two seasons to be drafted in the fourth round or higher.

Calhoun pitched in 22 games for the Rebels in 2026, starting two of them. He posted a 4.05 ERA with a career-high 67 strikeouts over 46.2 innings. His strikeout total was second most on the team among relief pitchers. Over three seasons at Ole Miss, he compiled a 4.46 ERA in 72.2 innings across 45 appearances. He struck out 105 batters and held opponents to a .201 batting average.
