Ole Miss Men’s Tennis to Play Nebraska and North Dakota in Lincoln
LINCOLN, Nebraska — The University of Mississippi men’s tennis team will compete in two matches in Lincoln on Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center. The Rebels will face Nebraska at 12 p.m. and North Dakota at 5 p.m., in a neutral-site match.
Ole Miss (7-0) enters the weekend with a perfect record and boasts two doubles teams ranked nationally. No. 18 Isac Strömberg and Kai Milburn are the Rebels’ highest-ranked doubles pairing, followed by Loan Lestir and Matthieu Chambonniere at No. 66. Nebraska, with a 6-0 record, has achieved wins over Memphis and Texas Tech this season. North Dakota, with a 4-3 record, is looking to rebound after losses to Indiana, Bellarmine, and Eastern Kentucky.
The Rebels’ roster features several notable players, including Chambonniere, who finished last season with a 23-7 singles record and earned rankings as high as No. 67 in doubles. Other key contributors include Stefan D’Agostino, Vlado Jankanj, Loan Lestir, Benjamin Martin, Kai Milburn, Pietro Pampanin, Noah Schlagenhauf, and senior Isac Strömberg. The team is coached by head coach Jake Jacoby, who has led Ole Miss to a strong start this season.
