Ole Miss and Progressive Insurance Announce On-Field Sponsorship at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium
The University of Mississippi announced a new sponsorship agreement with Progressive Insurance that will include on-field branding at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium beginning with the 2026 season, according to a release from Ole Miss Athletics.
Ole Miss Vice Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics Keith Carter expressed enthusiasm for the partnership. “Progressive is one of the most recognizable and respected brands in the country, and we are excited to welcome them as the new on-field branding sponsor at Vaught-Hemingway,” Carter said. “This sponsorship represents an investment in the continued growth of Ole Miss Athletics while aligning with a company that shares our commitment to excellence, innovation and creating memorable experiences.”
The agreement is part of an expanded initiative by Progressive to sponsor college football programs. The company will be featured on the playing field at 13 universities, including Ole Miss and Georgia in the Southeastern Conference. Other participating schools include Boise State, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas State, Oregon, Purdue, SMU, Syracuse, Texas Tech, USC and Wake Forest.
Sean Freeman, media business leader at Progressive, highlighted the company’s focus on supporting college football. “College football is about more than what happens on game day – it reflects the pride, tradition and community that define Ole Miss and we’re proud to support the student-athletes, alumni and fans who help make this program so special,” Freeman said. “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of game days with this historic fanbase.”
In-game branding will include videoboard features, LED signage, digital and social media integrations, and other fan engagement experiences. Learfield, the media and technology company that facilitates the sponsorship, will manage the assets. Shawn Hegan, Learfield’s executive vice president of global partnerships, noted the value of college athletics for brands. “This program gives Progressive a consistent presence across some of the biggest stages in the sport while creating meaningful connections with fans throughout the season,” Hegan said.
