Oxford, Miss. — NFL scouts from 30 teams gathered Wednesday at the University of Mississippi’s Manning Center for Pro Day, where 16 Rebels displayed their skills ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, according to the school.
Among those participating was De’Zhaun Stribling, who ran a 4.36-second 40-yard dash and posted a broad jump of 10 feet, 7 inches at the NFL Scouting Combine earlier this month. Stribling, who started all 15 games for Ole Miss in 2025, finished his college career with 216 receptions for 2,964 yards and 23 touchdowns over five seasons.
Widening the focus, wide receiver Dae’Quan Wright, an honorable mention All-America and second-team All-SEC selection in 2025, participated in position drills after competing at the combine. Wright recorded 36 receptions for 634 yards and four touchdowns last season and emphasized his durability and football IQ during the event.
Kapena Gushiken also impressed scouts by running the fastest 40-yard dash of the day at 4.35 seconds. The Pukalani, Hawaii, native posted a vertical jump of 41 inches and an 11-foot broad jump. Gushiken played in all 15 games for Ole Miss last season, tallying 55 tackles and five pass breakups.
Gushiken highlighted the importance of the day, saying, “Today was really important for me. I care a lot about football and this journey I’ve been on. I knew how much was riding on today and how it’ll help me moving forward.”
Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin and scouts observed the athletes as they demonstrated their athleticism and skills in front of NFL personnel, with the event serving as a key step for players aiming to boost their draft stock.
