Mississippi Valley State to Host Florida A&M in Men’s Basketball Game

ITTA BENA, Miss. — The Mississippi Valley State University men’s basketball team is set to host Florida A&M on Jan. 19 at the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the game will be available via SWAC TV.

Mississippi Valley State enters the game with a 1-18 overall record and a 0-5 mark in Southwestern Athletic Conference play. Florida A&M holds a 6-9 record overall and is 3-1 in conference matchups, according to team records.

The series history favors Florida A&M, which leads 4-2 since 1983. The Rattlers have won four straight meetings, including the most recent game on Jan. 20, 2025, in Tallahassee, Florida, where they defeated Mississippi Valley State 83-53 at the Al Lawson Center. The Delta Devils’ last victory over Florida A&M came on Feb. 5, 1986, with an 83-51 win.
