Mississippi Valley State to Face Jackson State in Regular Season Finale
The Mississippi Valley State University women’s basketball team will play its final game of the regular season Thursday against Jackson State. The game is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Lee E. Williams Athletics & Assembly Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
The Devilettes enter the game with a 6-22 overall record and a 5-12 mark in Southwestern Athletic Conference play. Jackson State holds a 12-17 record overall and is 10-7 in the conference, according to the teams’ statistics.
The series between the two programs dates back to the 2011-12 season, with Jackson State leading 24-7. The Tigers won the last meeting on February 7 at the R.W. Harrison Health, Physical Education and Recreation Complex in Itta Bena, 64-50. Mississippi Valley State’s last victory over Jackson State was on March 8, 2025, with a 70-68 win.
The game will be available via SWAC TV and G-Line Radio, with live stats also provided. Fans can purchase tickets in advance. The teams’ rivalry adds significance to the contest as the Devilettes aim to end the season on a positive note.
