Mississippi Valley State Softball to Face Alcorn in Series Play

Lorman, Miss. — Mississippi Valley State University’s softball team is set to face Alcorn State for the second and third times this season, with games scheduled for Tuesday at the Alcorn Softball Complex.

Mississippi Valley, with a 1-19 record and 0-9 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference, will play the Braves, who hold a 9-18 overall record and are 0-7 in conference play. The doubleheader begins at 1 p.m., followed by a second game at 3 p.m. (all times local).

The Series History favors Alcorn, which leads 69-42, according to team records. The last meeting occurred on Feb. 20 at Lagoon Park in Montgomery, Alabama, where Alcorn defeated Mississippi Valley 22-5.
