Mississippi Valley State Faces Jackson State in Regular Season Finale
Jackson, Mississippi — Mississippi Valley State University’s men’s basketball team will play its last regular-season game Thursday night against Jackson State. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Lee E. Williams Athletics & Assembly Center.
The Delta Devils enter the game with a 3-28 overall record and a 2-15 mark in Southwestern Athletic Conference play. Jackson State holds a 10-20 overall record and a 9-8 conference record. The Tigers lead the series 50-44 since the 1983-84 season, according to available records.
Jackson State won the last meeting on Feb. 7 at the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex in Itta Bena, with a 97-81 victory. The Tigers have won six straight games against Mississippi Valley State. The Delta Devils’ last win over Jackson State came on Feb. 4, 2023, with an 82-78 victory.
