Mississippi Valley State Athletics Names New Softball Coach

ITTA BENA, Miss. — Mississippi Valley State University has announced a change in leadership for its softball team. The university expressed gratitude to Coach Taliyah Riddick-Waters for her contributions and said she will be moving on to other opportunities, according to Director of Athletics Dr. Alecia Shields-Gadson.

Dr. Gadson said the move aligns with a strategic vision to reset competitive expectations and increase opportunities for student-athletes. The university aims to build a winning culture that prepares players for success both on and off the field.
