Mississippi Valley State Athletics Hit the Road for Conference and Non-Conference Games

Mississippi Valley State University’s Department of Athletics is competing in a busy week of SWAC and non-conference games across the Southeast. The Delta Devils’ baseball team will play multiple road contests, starting with a two-game series against Jacksonville State on Tuesday and Wednesday in Alabama.

Valley’s basketball teams will open the week with road trips to Grambling, Louisiana, to face Grambling State. The women’s game begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men at 7:30 p.m. The baseball team continues its schedule with games against UNC Asheville, Jackson State, and Alcorn State, all in Jackson, Mississippi, through Sunday.

In addition to baseball, the women’s and men’s basketball programs are competing for postseason positioning as the SWAC regular season winds down. The women’s team faces Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday at 3 p.m., and the men’s team plays at 5 p.m. in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
