Mississippi State’s Lindsey Mangelson Named to Preseason All-SEC Volleyball Team

Mississippi State outside hitter Lindsey Mangelson has been named to the SEC’s 2026 Volleyball Preseason All-SEC Team, the Southeastern Conference announced Wednesday. Mangelson is one of 16 players selected and one of three underclassmen to earn the honor.

The Fishers, Indiana, native had a standout freshman season, earning SEC All-Freshman honors. She ranked second nationally among freshmen with 4.35 kills per set and sixth in the SEC. Mangelson finished with 387 kills, the third-most by a Mississippi State freshman in program history.

In addition to her All-Freshman recognition, she received an honorable mention from the American Volleyball Coaches Association. The Bulldogs will open the regular season on August 28 against Georgia State. Fans can see the team in action earlier, on August 15, at an exhibition match against Southern Miss inside the Newell-Grissom Building.
