Mississippi State Women’s Tennis Falls to No. 2 Auburn, 7-0

AUBURN, Ala. — Mississippi State women’s tennis was defeated by No. 2 Auburn, 7-0, on Thursday. The Tigers took an early lead by winning the doubles point with victories on courts three and two.

In singles play, the Bulldogs put up a fight but ultimately lost on all six courts. Auburn secured the victory with wins from players on every singles position, including a three-set match for DJ Bennett.

The match marked the Bulldogs’ second straight loss. They will travel to Gainesville to face Florida on March 28 at 11 a.m. Central Time, according to team schedule updates.

Match results show Auburn claimed the doubles point with wins on courts three and two, and swept all singles matches. Notable singles results included a three-set victory for Bennett and straight-set wins from Angella Okutoyi and Merna Refaat.
