Mississippi State Women’s Tennis Debuts at No. 26 in ITA Rankings
STARKVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi State women’s tennis team is ranked 26th in the latest ITA Team Rankings, marking their highest position since 2020, according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
The Bulldogs’ doubles team of Charlotte Kempenaers-Pocz and Gianna Oboniye is ranked 13th nationally. The pair has been consistently ranked in each poll since the final fall poll on Nov. 25 and has placed inside the top 15 in three consecutive ITA rankings.
Mississippi State’s team ranking of 26th is the highest for the program in nearly three years. The Bulldogs will open SEC play at home Sunday against No. 29 Alabama at noon. Following that match, they will host Alabama A&M at approximately 3 p.m.
