Millsaps’ Warren, Freeman earn D3hoops.com All-Region honors
Jackson, Miss. — Millsaps College women’s basketball players Elyse Warren and Garin Freeman were honored Monday with selections to the 2025-26 D3hoops.com All-Region teams for Region 6. Warren was named to the First Team, while Freeman earned a spot on the Second Team, marking significant milestones for both athletes.
Warren, a senior center from Memphis, Tennessee, received her first All-Region honor and is only the third player in program history to make the First Team. She also was named a finalist for the Jostens Trophy and has set school records with 479 rebounds in a season and 1,219 for her career. Warren ranks third nationally in Division III in rebounds and rebounds per game, and she has recorded 24 double-doubles in 24 games.
Garin Freeman, a junior guard from Little Rock, Arkansas, made her second consecutive All-Region appearance, this time on the Second Team. She leads the nation with 195 assists and is among the top five in free throws made and attempted. Freeman also earned the SAA Tournament MVP honors this season and ranks second in points per game among her conference peers.
Both players have contributed significantly to Millsaps’ success this season. Warren has been named the SAA Defensive Player of the Year and has received multiple weekly accolades. Freeman has been a consistent scorer and playmaker, helping the team to a strong postseason run.
The D3hoops.com All-Region teams are selected based on nominations from school sports information directors across 10 regions nationwide. This is the 25th season the organization has recognized top Division III players. The All-America teams will be announced in March, with the women’s team scheduled for release at the national championship game.
