The second game started similarly, with Carey taking a 1-0 lead in the first on a sacrifice fly from Lindsey after a walk and a throwing error. Blue Mountain threatened in the third, but Carey responded with a four-run rally, highlighted by consecutive hits from Hornsby, Cross, and Montana, and a two-run single from Lindsey. Fussell added an RBI single, and another run scored on a passed ball, making it 5-0.
