Jackson State to face winner of Grambling State and Mississippi Valley State in SWAC Tournament

Jackson State has secured the No. 7 seed in the Southwestern Athletic Conference tournament following the regular season, which concluded Thursday night. The Tigers finished with an 11-20 overall record and a 10-8 mark in SWAC play.

The team will play Tuesday night in Atlanta at Gateway Arena, facing the winner of Monday’s game between No. 9 Grambling State and No. 12 Mississippi Valley State. The game is scheduled as the final matchup of the day.

The tournament bracket features several matchups, including No. 10 Alabama State versus No. 11 Alcorn State, with the winner advancing to face No. 8 Prairie View A&M. The top half of the bracket includes No. 1 seed Bethune-Cookman against No. 4 seed Texas Southern, and No. 5 seed Alabama A&M facing No. 4 seed Texas Southern.

In the bottom half, No. 2 Florida A&M awaits the winner of Tuesday’s game, while No. 3 Southern faces No. 6 Arkansas-Pine Bluff. All games are being held at Gateway Arena in Atlanta.
