Jackson State Men’s Tennis Drops Match to South Alabama in Mobile
Mobile, Ala. — Jackson State’s men’s tennis team lost to South Alabama on Friday afternoon. The Tigers’ freshman Chen Hung-Yu won a three-set singles match against Jaguars’ Victor Frumholz, with scores of 6-2, 4-6, and 10-7 in the deciding tiebreaker.
The duo of Fabrizio Fallas and Gokalp Ayar also secured a doubles win for Jackson State, defeating their opponents 6-4. The match marks the Tigers’ latest competition in the early part of their season.
The team will open its season next Tuesday, Feb. 3, against Mississippi College at 3 p.m. The match is set to be played at Jackson State’s home courts.
