Jackson and Pellot Win SEC Community Service Awards

Bykelly Shipp, associate director of communications, announced that Jacoby Jackson of Mississippi State football and Izzy Pellot of women’s golf are the recipients of the Southeastern Conference’s Brad Davis Community Service Award for the 2025-26 academic year. The awards, announced Tuesday, honor student-athletes from each of the SEC’s 16 member institutions for their community service efforts.

Jackson and Pellot are now finalists for the league’s Male and Female Brad Davis Community Service Leaders of the Year, which will be announced in May. Each will receive a $7,500 postgraduate scholarship funded by the SEC. The awards are named after Brad Davis, a former SEC associate commissioner who died of cancer in 2006 after serving the conference since 1988.

Mississippi State’s Jackson, an offensive lineman, and Pellot, a golfer, were recognized for their dedication to community service. The league awards the individual community service honors annually as part of its broader commitment to student-athlete development and community engagement.
