Hinds Women’s Tennis Dominates Marion Military 9-0

The Hinds Community College women’s tennis team defeated Marion Military Institute 9-0 on Tuesday in Raymond, Mississippi. The Lady Eagles took control early, winning all three doubles matches before sweeping singles in straight sets.

In doubles play, Rodia Noudogbessi and Daniela Lopez opened with an 8-2 victory at No. 1. Macie Curtis and Jaqueline Vargas followed with an 8-0 win at No. 2, and Taryn Green and Landry Parks completed the sweep with an 8-0 decision at No. 3.

The Lady Eagles carried their momentum into singles, winning all six matches in straight sets. Daniela Lopez defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1. Rodia Noudogbessi cruised to a 6-0, 6-3 victory at No. 2. Jaqueline Vargas won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3, while Macie Curtis blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4.

Landry Parks secured a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 5, and the Lady Eagles completed the sweep with a straight-sets victory at No. 6. Hinds is scheduled to return to action March 20 against Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson, with first serve set for 11 a.m.
