Gabe Schweitzer Makes CSC Academic All-American List for Delta State Football
Gabe Schweitzer, a senior offensive lineman at Delta State University, was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Team, the organization announced last week.
Schweitzer is the first Delta State football player to earn CSC Academic All-America honors since 1982, when wide receiver Jerry Turner received second-team recognition. The Calera, Alabama, native earned first-team honors after completing his master’s degree in Sport and Human Performance with a 4.00 GPA.
On the field, Schweitzer was a key player on the offensive line during the 2025 season. He started all 10 games as the left tackle, helping the offense average 411.4 yards per game. His contributions helped bolster the Green and White’s offensive production.
Schweitzer also received Gulf South Conference All-Academic honors and was named to the All-Gulf South Conference first team, further recognizing his performance both on and off the field.
