Four Millsaps Women’s Basketball Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

GREENWOOD, Miss. — Four members of the Millsaps College women’s basketball team have been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Women’s Basketball Team, the organization announced Tuesday.

The quartet helped lead the Majors to their second postseason title in program history and a fourth appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament during the 2025-26 season. The players exemplify strong academic performance and athletic achievement.

Juniors Tia Anderson, Garin Freeman, Bailey Johnson, and senior Elyse Warren received the honors. Anderson, a double major in Psychology and Health & Exercise Science, has a 3.96 GPA. She made the team for the second consecutive year and started all 29 games this season, averaging 16.7 points per game.

Anderson also shadowed at Capitol Ortho as an occupational therapist in summer 2025 and worked as an athletic trainer during fall 2024. She has earned multiple academic honors, including Club 40 recognition and Spring SAA Academic Honor Roll selections.

Garin Freeman, a guard from Little Rock, Arkansas, has a 3.95 GPA and made the team for the second straight year. She was named to the All-SAA First Team and received SAA Tournament MVP honors. Freeman leads NCAA Division III with 195 assists and ranks third with 6.7 assists per game.

Bailey Johnson, a psychology major from Metairie, Louisiana, holds a 3.68 GPA. She was recognized on the CSC All-District team for the first time and started 28 games this season, making 45 three-pointers and totaling 163 points. She also earned a spot on the SAA All-Sportsmanship Team.

Senior Elyse Warren, a double major in Mathematics and Neuroscience with a 3.90 GPA, has received multiple honors, including WBCA All-America Honorable Mention and D3hoops.com All-Region. She set conference records with 479 single-season and 1,219 career rebounds, ranking third nationally in total rebounds. Warren also scored 14.8 points per game and became the first player in program history with 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.

Warren is a Rhodes Scholarship finalist and holds several leadership positions on campus, including president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and Omicron Delta Kappa. She plans to attend medical school after graduation.
