Fischer Co-Leads as No. 13 Ole Miss Men’s Golf Opens at Mason Rudolph Championship

FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Tom Fischer shot a bogey-free 4-under 67 to co-lead the Mason Rudolph Championship, helping No. 13 Ole Miss men’s golf team to a 290 (+6) score after the first round, according to the university’s athletics department.

The Birmingham, Alabama native made the turn at 1-under before gaining momentum on the back nine. He birdied the par-3 13th and 14th holes and closed with a birdie at the par-5 18th. Fischer shares the individual lead with Auburn’s Jackson Koivun. This was Fischer’s 14th round in red figures this season and his seventh in the 60s, the school said.

Ole Miss’s other scorers included Daniel Tolf and Cameron Tankersley, both shooting 3-over 74. Collins Trolio posted a 4-over 76, while Cohen Trolio finished at 5-over 77. Jacob Blanton, competing as an individual, finished at 6-over par. The Rebels will continue play Saturday in Nashville.
