Delta State’s Cade Greer earns ABCA South Region All-Defensive honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Delta State University senior outfielder Cade Greer was named to the South Region All-Defensive team by the American Baseball Coaches Association on Tuesday.

Greer, a Lewisburg native, played in all 55 games and started 54 as a centerfielder during the 2026 season. He posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, recording 133 putouts and one outfield assist.

The outfielder also contributed offensively, batting .281 with 31 RBIs, 54 hits, eight doubles, and five home runs. He scored 48 runs and stole 18 bases during the season, earning recognition for his defensive skills alongside his offensive production.
