Delta State Football Season Opener Moved to August 28

The Delta State University football team will open its season a day earlier than originally scheduled. The game against Northeastern State University has been moved from Saturday, Aug. 29, to Friday, Aug. 28.

Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Gable Field at Doc Wadley Stadium. Michael Gross, the voice of the Statesmen, will provide play-by-play commentary on the Statesmen Sports Network.

Streaming will be available through the MIAA network, but it will require a paywall. Fans can follow updates on the team and athletics at gostatesmen.com.
