Delta State Baseball Heads to Arkadelphia for Midweek Game Against Ouachita Baptist

The Delta State University Statesmen baseball team is set to play Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, on Tuesday at 2 p.m. It will be their first away midweek game of the season. The Statesmen enter the game with a 9-2 record overall and a 6-0 mark in Gulf South Conference play, riding a seven-game winning streak.

They are coming off a weekend sweep of the Union Bulldogs. Meanwhile, Ouachita Baptist is on a five-game winning streak, including a midweek win over No. 23 Harding. The Tigers hold a 9-2 record overall and a 4-2 mark in the Great American Conference.

The game will be broadcast on the Statesmen Sports Network and 107.5 FM, with Michael Gross calling the action. Delta State’s offensive leaders include Levi Lang, who is batting .395 with a .509 on-base percentage. Last week, Lang went 7-for-15 at the plate with four RBIs, four walks, and a stolen base.
