Blue Mountain Christian Women Finish 12th at Coastal Georgia Winter Invite

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. — Blue Mountain Christian’s women’s golf team finished 12th at the Coastal Georgia Winter Invitational, held on a par-72 course measuring 5,963 yards. The tournament featured several highly ranked NAIA programs, including No. 1 Keiser, No. 6 SCAD Savannah, No. 9 Southeastern, No. 14 Embry-Riddle, and No. 17 Coastal Georgia, along with other schools receiving votes.

Morgan Dabbs led the Toppers, tying for 45th place with rounds of 84 and 78 for a total of 162. She improved by six strokes in the second round, demonstrating steady progress against elite competition. Abby Gattis tied for 54th after rounds of 79 and 88, finishing with a total of 167. Erin Porter finished tied for 60th after rounds of 90 and 81, totaling 171. Porter’s nine-stroke improvement in the final round highlighted the team’s resilience.

Abby Moore tied for 64th with rounds of 84 and 88 for a total of 172. Adina Ataullah placed 79th after rounds of 97 and 92, finishing with a total of 189. Head coach Kevin Barefield emphasized the importance of the experience gained against top-tier opponents. “This was a great opportunity for our women to measure themselves against some of the best teams in the country,” Barefield said. “We saw growth throughout the tournament, especially with how we responded in the second round. Competing in fields like this prepares us for what’s ahead, and I’m proud of the way our players represented Blue Mountain.”

Facing nationally ranked teams on a championship-caliber course, the Toppers continued building momentum as the season progresses. The experience gained from the tournament is expected to benefit the team in upcoming events.
