Belhaven Softball Trio Earns CCS Player of the Week Honors

ATLANTA — The Collegiate Conference of the South announced its first softball weekly honors of the 2026 season Monday, with Belhaven making a clean sweep following a successful opening week.

Junior Kaleigh Steverson was named CCS Player of the Week, while fellow junior Gracey Harbour earned Pitcher of the Week honors. Freshman AR Sharp received Rookie of the Week recognition. It marks the first set of CCS softball weekly awards for the 2026 season.

Steverson led the Belhaven offense in a doubleheader sweep of LeTourneau, going 4-for-7 with a double and an RBI. She posted a .571 batting average and a .714 slugging percentage. Harbour pitched three scoreless relief innings in the series opener, allowing no runs and helping secure the win. Her performance helped preserve the shutout and maintain control of the game.

Sharp made her collegiate debut in the series, appearing in relief in both games against LeTourneau. She allowed no hits or runs, struck out two batters, and earned a save in the first game before securing the win in the second. Her poise and effectiveness in key moments earned her the Rookie of the Week honor.

The Blazers will next face No. 9 East Texas Baptist in a doubleheader Friday, with first pitch scheduled for 4 p.m. Follow Belhaven athletics on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for updates. Supporters can also contribute through Team Green Giving.
