Belhaven Alumna Julianne Wilson Finds Passion in Teaching and Coaching

Julianne Wilson, a Belhaven University alumna, is currently teaching science and coaching soccer at Brandon High School. She says her experience at Belhaven helped her find her true passions and shaped her into a better person.

Wilson recalls feeling at home from her first visit to Belhaven, which confirmed her decision to attend. “From the first moment that I visited Belhaven, it felt like home to me. I immediately knew it was the right place for me,” she said.

She describes her four years at Belhaven as the best of her life. “All four years were my favorite memory! It is impossible to pick one moment when it was all so special,” she added. Wilson also says she misses the people the most, emphasizing that her classmates became her family.

Wilson remains involved in soccer as an assistant coach at Brandon High School. She says although coaching is different from playing, it has been a blessing and a joy to stay connected to the game.

She also praised former teammates Emily Easterling and Emma Antonoplos, calling them incredible players and friends.
