Tupelo goes to Brandon and gets the win
Tupelo fans have a lot to be proud of in their team. Last night, they fought hard after being down by only seven for a long time.
“You guys fought really hard tonight,” said Tupelo’s head coach Ty Hardin. “We were missing our starting quarterback tonight, but that did not change us. We overcame adversity and got it done. I am proud of our team.”
Brandon scored the first touchdown of the game Tyson Robinson scored on a one yard run with two minutes left in the first quarter.
Brandon’s offense scored the first touchdown, but it is hard to say that they were in sync last night. Tupelo has a tenacious defense that kept the Brandon Bulldogs in check.
“The defense did what we expected them to do,” said Hardin. “We knew that Brandon was going to try to run the football with Robinson. They also have some great athletes at receivers. I applaud our defense for playing a stingy game tonight.”
Kylan Bobo was incredible last night. He had over three touchdowns in this game. His spark gave his team the energy they needed.
“We knew coming into this game that we were going to be faced with some challenges because we did not have our QB1,” said Bobo. “Jaeden (Hill) had to make a sacrifice tonight and he did that. I had to step up for our team, too. I was glad to be given this opportunity to show everyone what I can do. Yall gone feel me this year!”
