South Pontotoc gets split with Falkner as Lady Cougars unleash 3-point barrage

The South Pontotoc girls got a big win in their regular season finale by having their highest scoring offensive output of the season.

The Lady Cougars did most of their damage from behind the three point line.

South got 14 three pointers and won in a rout against Falkner 87-40.

The victory moved them to 24-4 on the season.

They were led by Sydney Brazil with 18 points including 5 second half three pointers. Abby Montgomery had 13, Maisy Canerdy finished with 12 and Amicha Cherry rounded out the double digit scorers with 10. In all, 13 Lady Cogara scored.

In boys action, the Cougars fell 68-52 to Falkner.

The loss dropped them to 15-10 on the season.

They were led by Carson Newell’s 18 points.
