Pontotoc gets pair of wins at jamboree to start of baseball season

The Pontotoc Warrior baseball team kicked off their season on Saturday with their preseason jamboree.

They hope the outcomes tell of things to come this year.

The Warriors got a lot of wins at the hollow in convincing fashion with a combination of shut down pitching and timely hitting.

They defeated Pine Grove in the first contest thanks to a combined no hitter from Brice Deaton and Ross Matthews and a Peeko Townsend homer.

In the second game, Dandy Dozen member Hayden Harris got a grand slam en route to a 13-3 victory.
