Braves Roll Past Alcorn Central in Season Opener
Tishomingo County opened its season in dominant fashion Friday night, shutting out Alcorn Central 42-0 on the road.
Quarterback Grayson Blakney led the charge with over 300 total yards and four touchdowns—three rushing and one passing. He connected with Braxton Brown for a 91-yard score and added two short rushing touchdowns in the first half to help the Braves build a 20-0 lead at the break.
After halftime, Daytin Crabb powered in an eight-yard run before Blakney tacked on another rushing score. Grady Hubbard capped the night with a 27-yard touchdown in the final minute.
Brown hauled in five catches for 181 yards and a touchdown, while Crabb ran for 84 yards and a score. Dominic Alexander and Hubbard combined for more than 100 yards on the ground as Tishomingo’s offense piled up big plays in the shutout victory.
Tishomingo County is at home against Biggersville for the first time in school history on Friday. Alcorn Central takes on Thrasher on the road on Thursday.
