Jackson Public Schools to Cancel Fall Sports

According to Brandon Shields on Twitter (@bshields0244), Jackson Public Schools will cancel all fall sports and extracurricular activities.

“Breaking: Due to Covid-19 concerns Jackson Public Schools have announced that they are cancelling fall sports and extracurricular activities for the fall semester,” states Shields.

Back in late July, a report broke that Jackson Public Schools has made the decision already to cancel fall sports. However, public outcry came against the decision, and the district seemed to reverse course on their decision.

Now, the district seems to be standing strong, and has made a final decision.
