Tickets for Southern Heritage Classic Featuring Alcorn and UAPB Go on Sale March 20

Memphis, Tenn. — Tickets for the 37th Southern Heritage Classic will go on sale Friday, March 20, at 10 a.m. CST. Fans can purchase tickets through TicketMaster.com. The game between Alcorn State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff is set for Sept. 12 at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, according to the event coordinators.

Fred Jones Jr., founder of the Classic, expressed enthusiasm about continuing the tradition. “It always gives me a thrill to continue the Classic tradition that began in 1990,” he said. Jones also highlighted renovations at the stadium, which are expected to be completed before the upcoming football season, enhancing the fan experience.

Last year, Alcorn State lost to UAPB 24-20 in the 36th edition of the Classic. The Braves overcame a 17-13 halftime deficit to take a 20-17 lead after three quarters, but UAPB scored the winning touchdown with 5:39 remaining in the fourth quarter, ending a four-game winning streak by Alcorn in the series.
