Southern Miss Softball announced its promotional schedule for the upcoming 2026 season on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles, who made back-to-back Sun Belt Tournament appearances, will open the season with the Black and Gold Challenge on Feb. 6 at 4:30 p.m.
The opening weekend features several giveaways, including schedule magnets and rally towels, with games against Southeast Missouri State, UAB, Lipscomb, and Louisiana Tech. Girl Scout Night is scheduled for Feb. 17, offering scout patches and discounted tickets for Girl Scouts in uniform.
Additional theme nights include the Hub City Classic from Feb. 27 to March 1, with a blackout game on Feb. 27 and Strikeout Cancer Day on Feb. 28. Post-game autograph sessions and giveaways are planned for the Chattanooga and Jackson State matchups on March 1.
In March, the team will host Alcorn State with a gold-themed night and Louisiana with special events such as Seymore Sidekicks Weekend, featuring junior PA opportunities, a bucket hat giveaway, and face painting. Nicholls State’s game on March 25 will include Greek Night and a canned food drive for tickets.
The April schedule features significant events, including faculty and staff appreciation, military and first responder recognition, Easter festivities, and alumni weekend. Fans can participate in activities like bingo, a post-game Easter egg hunt, and meet-and-greet opportunities. Senior Day is scheduled for April 24-26, with ceremonies and poster giveaways for graduating players.
Season tickets are on sale, with a deadline to renew by Jan. 23, and single-game tickets go on sale Jan. 27. Group discounts are also available. Fans are encouraged to follow the team on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates.
