Southern Miss Men’s Tennis Cancels Weekend Matches at Ole Miss

HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Southern Miss men’s tennis announced the cancellation of two matches scheduled for this weekend in Oxford, Mississippi. The Golden Eagles were set to face Ole Miss on Saturday and Chattanooga on Sunday, but both contests have been officially canceled, according to the university.

The team opened its spring season last week with a split in Lubbock, Texas. Southern Miss fell 5-2 to Texas Tech before defeating Lubbock Christian 4-3. The team now shifts its focus to upcoming matches, including a home game against Jackson State on Feb. 13.

Southern Miss has not announced a reschedule for this weekend’s canceled matches. The team continues to prepare for the rest of its 2025-26 schedule as the season progresses, with the next match set for early February at home.
