Tylik Weeks ranks third in the league with an average of 17.8 points per game, and Dylan Brumfield averages 12.1 points in Sun Belt contests. Weeks also earned Sun Belt Player of the Week honors after his MVP performance at the Pensacola Invitational, where he scored 37 points against North Florida, the 11th-most in program history.

Southern Miss has been strong at home, posting a 42-11 record at Reed Green Coliseum since the start of the 2022-23 season. The team is also 7-0 in home openers under head coach Jay Ladner.
