The University of Southern Mississippi will celebrate ‘Super Saturday’ on February 14, featuring multiple athletic events and fan activities across campus, according to university athletics officials.
The day begins with a baseball game against UC Santa Barbara at 12 p.m. at Pete Taylor Park. Later, women’s tennis hosts Sam Houston State at 1 p.m. on campus. In the evening, women’s basketball plays Texas State at 5 p.m., followed by men’s basketball against Troy at 7:30 p.m. inside Reed Green Coliseum.
The Eagle Club will host a social event at the Southern Miss Wellness Center between the baseball and basketball doubleheaders. The event is open to Eagle Club and Circle of Champions members and will feature giveaways, food, music, and more, according to athletics officials. Fans with a ticket to Saturday’s baseball game can receive a free ticket to the doubleheader at Reed Green Coliseum by showing their baseball ticket at the box office.
Promotions include a specialty cup and a free fountain drink with the purchase of a single-game ticket through the university’s ticketing website. During the basketball games, senior day celebrations for women’s basketball will include a pregame tribute, and players will participate in halftime activities, including a ‘Simon Sez’ contest and giveaways of basketball player card packs.
Parking will prioritize baseball in the morning and switch to men’s basketball after the baseball game. Fans without season tickets for men’s basketball are asked to relocate their vehicles from reserved lots within 30 minutes of the baseball game’s conclusion. Reserved parking areas include Pete Taylor Park Lot, M.K. Turk Circle Lot, Volleyball/Wellness Center Lot, and Sports Field Lot.
