Six Mississippi State Alumni Participate in MLB Spring Breakout

Six former Mississippi State players are participating in the third annual MLB Spring Breakout, a showcase of top prospects. The event runs from March 19 to 22 across the Grapefruit and Cactus leagues, with games streamed on MLB’s digital platforms.

Pitchers Pico Kohn of the Yankees, Eric Cerantola of the Royals, Landon Sims of the Diamondbacks, and Will Bednar of the Giants, along with outfielders Colton Ledbetter and Dakota Jordan of the Cardinals and Giants, are representing the Diamond Dawgs. Jordan is ranked as the No. 6 prospect in the San Francisco Giants’ farm system, while Kohn is 10th among Yankees’ prospects, according to sources.

In addition, Mississippi State has several other alumni playing in the Spring Breakout event, including JoJo Parker (Blue Jays), Landon Harmon (Nationals), Dante Nori (Nationals), Jett Williams (Brewers), Blaze Jordan (Cardinals), and Maddux Bruns (Dodgers).
